The Problem.
A law enforcement agency approached Authentix to develop a distance detection system. The system could be used in law enforcement and military applications to identify objects of interest at initial distances of 20 meters, with the possibility of extending that distance. The system had to be covert and not reliant on external power or computer support but provide real-time notice of an event.

The Solution.
Authentix created a unique solution that detected the presence of a unique marker that can be applied in multiple ways. In addition, Authentix developed an associated optical remote detection device that can be covertly placed in an area without the need for wires or extensive components.

The Outcome.
Authentix delivered a system that reads the markers at a (current) distance of 20 meters and at speeds of up to 45 miles per hour. The system wirelessly transmits encrypted information to a host computer instantly, permitting immediate response to an event. The solution has demonstrated capabilities to significantly extend the detection range and is capable of detecting multiple signatures or materials as required.
