Authentix Sharpens Focus on Downstream Oil and Gas Business with Sale of Upstream Business Unit.

Authentix is pleased to announce the sale of its Upstream Oil and Gas Business Unit and related intellectual property to the ProTechnics Division of Core Laboratories. Affected marking applications include fracture stimulation, drilling muds, and interwell tracing. As a result, ProTechnics will become the service provider for Authentix clients with those needs. Authentix will remain involved as an active supporter of ProTechnics by providing ongoing science and technology support, application support and analytical services.

With this action, Authentix will sharpen its focus on its downstream business unit, thereby continuing its global leadership role in revenue recovery and brand protection for fuels and lubricants. Authentix recovers $1 billion annually for its oil and gas clients in lost sales and tax revenues. Our marking and field surveillance programs are in extensive use across the globe, providing an effective deterrent to fuel smuggling, adulteration and franchise abuse.
