Tim Wilkinson, Director, International Commerce, Announces Retirement from Authentix
Company Veteran Helped Global Growth Effort
Dallas -
March, 2009
Authentix, Inc.®, today announced that Dr. Tim Wilkinson, Director, International Commerce, has retired from the company. Dr. Wilkinson spent 20 years with Authentix helping the company grow globally, especially in India, Southeast Asia and Africa.
“During the last ten years we have created a successful growing company that is profitable, fun to work for and does good in the world,” said Dr. Wilkinson. “Who could ask for more than that?
Dr. Wilkinson co-founded Biocode, which merged with Isotag in 2003. The newly formed company was renamed Authentix. While at Authentix, Dr. Wilkinson invented Nano-Bio Markers for fuel. These markers can be used to identify fuels for authentication purposes and to determine if a fuel has been diluted with cheap solvents. Nano Bio Markers are often used by governments to mark legal tax-paid fuels.
“Tim’s legacy will be his pioneering work in fuel tax recovery,” said David Moxam, Chairman and CEO, Authentix, “Tim’s work led to the recovery of an estimated $5 billion in tax dollars in 9 different countries. At the same time, Tim has helped to educate and develop a company with a social consciousness and social capitalism orientation that is certain to remain for a long, long time.”
In 2002, Wilkinson received accolades from the UK government for an award honoring him for the work he did to combat smuggling and the sale of illegal fuel in East Africa. He also helped support the countries in which he worked with donations to local charities.
