Authentix Device wins Excellence in Design Award

Appliance Design magazine recently announced their 18th Annual Excellence in Design Award winners. Dallas, Texas-based Authentix won a best-in-field award in the Test, Measurement, Inspection Equipment category for their SRX1000 surface spectrometer.

The device was designed to validate the authenticity of a product by testing for the presence of Authentix' proprietary covert markers. Regarding the device, the EID judges declared: "The design is small and lightweight with a comfortable, curved ergonomic slope, which is ideal for repeated daily use. Dark colors were chosen to mask the normal wear and tear of use in the field. It can be manipulated by either a left-handed or right-handed user. "

The product was designed in conjunction with Ignition, Inc., a Plano, Texas-based product design firm.
