The CACP is composed of over 100 trade associations and companies working to encourage greater government/private sector coordination and to educate lawmakers and the public about the dangers of counterfeiting and the negative impact it has on the economy.
The TTF will study how businesses can best use authentication and tracking technologies as elements of their anti-counterfeiting strategies. The TTF will also ensure that CACP members impacted by counterfeiting will have access to the latest anti-counterfeiting information and best practices in the field.
“David Moxam will provide valuable leadership for the CACP Technology Task Force,” said Paul Fox, chairman of CACP. “His range of experience with many industries that are fighting counterfeiting and diversion will help the technology task force provide relevant, useful information to the wide variety of businesses who are CACP members.”
“Through the CACP, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is bringing critical focus and attention to the effect that counterfeiting is having on American industry,” said Ed Dietrich. “David and I are both firm believers in the value of technology as an element of anticounterfeiting strategy and this is a great opportunity to help US companies increase their success against the pirates.”
