Jim Rittenburg, VP of Healthcare & Life Sciences, is quoted in the June issue of Packaging World Magazine in the article entitled, “Keys to Package Security.” Rittenburg explains how nanotechnology is a commercially proven and expanding tool that can be used to fight pharmaceutical counterfeiting and diversion. Rittenburg explains that nanotechnology can be used to authenticate packaging materials (including inks and flip-top closures) and can be used to authenticate the individual dosage form.
