Authentix Featured in the Los Angeles Times
Dallas -
June, 2005
Los Angeles Times Health Columnist, Shari Roan, interviewed Dr. Jim Rittenburg, Authentix VP of Healthcare and Life Sciences, in her June 26th column entitled, "Fake Products Can Bypass Quality, Safety." The column focuses on the growing problem of counterfeit cosmetic injectables.
In the article, Rittenburg discusses the overall growth in pharmaceutical counterfeiting and explains that other high value drugs intended for HIV and cancer patients are often targets for counterfeiters. Rittenburg goes on to advise consumers to be wary of cut-rate prices on drugs, since cheaper pharmaceuticals could be counterfeits.
