Dr. Jim Rittenburg, Authentix VP, Healthcare and Life Sciences, is quoted in the July 2006 issue of The Gold Sheet in an article entitled, "FDA Moves on Pedigrees While More Comprehensive Anti-Counterfeiting Efforts Unfold." In the article, Rittenburg says he believes the FDA's initial efforts to encourage the use of RFID to fight the counterfeiting problem will give way to a more organic, systemic approach. He also adds that the inclusion of solutions that can authenticate pharmaceuticals will soon become a routine aspect of product development and quality assurance.
